What a PDF edition is, and is not
These are PDFs with internal links. They open in any reader and are built for handwriting on a tablet, or for printing. They do not calculate, because a page cannot: where a spreadsheet works out the figure for you, a page gives you the space to write it.
Where a product exists in both forms, the fields are generated from the same definition, so a book written up on the tablet and a book typed into the spreadsheet are the same record rather than two that quietly drift apart.
